Good News On Outbreak

Patrick • July 17, 2020

Friday 17th July update from the local Division of General Practice, thanks to Dr Vince Roche.

The South West Sydney Public Health Unit has stated that there is no need and no clinical benefit in COVID testing this group if they have been to a “soft spot” (i.e. somewhere where we know a COVID positive person has been or worked e.g. Woolies Bowral) as opposed to a “hot spot” (i.e. somewhere transmission is known to have taken place e.g. Picton Hotel Gaming Room, Crossroads Hotel etc).

However, they should remain alert to possible symptoms and if they develop a symptom they should self-isolate and get tested ASAP. There is no need to self-isolate in the absence of symptoms and they are safe to work as usual.
