A HEALTHY MOUTH IS A HAPPY MOUTH
Who doesn’t love a bright smile and a healthy mouth? It’s not only refreshing to have a smile that can ‘brighten up a room’, but it’s a great feeling to know that your teeth and your gums are healthy. As human beings, we only have two sets of teeth in our lifetime. These are the deciduous teeth, also known as baby teeth or milk teeth, and the permanent teeth. Once a permanent tooth is lost, it cannot be regrown. That’s why oral hygiene is imperative in maintain an overall healthy mouth.
PRACTICING ORAL HYGIENE
We cannot expect our gums and teeth to remain healthy without proper maintenance. Brushing and flossing daily, monitoring the food eaten, especially those that are harder to break down and those that cause discoloration, as well as dental visits are important to a healthy mouth. A lack of these practices can result in oral diseases. Regardless of age, oral disease can result in the damage of gum and loss of teeth, as well as reduced functionality of the mouth.
